Review - Maybelline India Gold Digger Collection Nail Polish

This one's for my desi nail addicts! Maybelline launched their Gold Digger collection back in December, but I was too caught up with things to buy these beauties -.- I'm always on the lookout for interesting polishes, which we all know are a thing of rarity in Indian brands. You can always order from foreign brands, but well, shipping costs a fortune :(  Stay Quirky has been a godsend for Indian Lacquer lovers, but a large part of me prefers to physically buy the lacquers from a store. Don't ask me why, I just do! Photos are often tricky, and you never know how the colour would look on your skin when you're buying online. Swatches help a lot, but eh. So you can imagine how glad I was when I spotted these beauties on the shelf!

Sadly, I didn't have time to do proper swatches, the pictures are of the manis I did using them. I bought three of them - Gold Me Baby, Gold Gluttony, and Gilded Rose. Tbh, I'm in love with their names, and I'm glad Maybelline is upping their name game. (Can we pretend that Black Out never happened?)

Gold Me Baby is...well, silver. But don't get your hopes down! It has holographic bar glitter floating merrily through it, amounting to a beautiful glittery mess. Is furry ho lo a thing? It should be!

Look at that holo!!

Gold Me Baby with starbust watermarble accents

Gold Gluttony is every flakie addict's dream! True to it's name, it has golden leaves/flakies in a clear base. Works as a great topper over dark shades :)

Here is a mani  I did with a watermarble accent nail. The flakes are slightly bigger than the usual ones, so you'll need some time to get used to them. I've topped them with Revlon's Matte Top Coat, and I'd recommend a good TC for smoothing them out. They look so pretty over black! Definitely my go-to mani if I'm short on time ;)

I haven't had the time to swatch Gilded Rose yet :( But here'a bottle shot instead! I've tried to make it look all artsy and hipster-y too ^_^

You can buy the entire collection on Amazon, which has a total of six shades, or else click on their names if you want to buy the ones I've reviewed above!
