Stamping over textured nail polish!

Image
Ever since I discovered that I actually don't like textured polishes, (which was after buying quite a few of them, mind you) I've been looking for ways to cover them up. And what better way to hide yer ish than stamping pretty things over it? I picked Stay Quirky's My Bae, a gorgeous purple packed with holo madness and Maybelline's Bold Gold as stamping polish. The abstract patterns from OSI plate went so well with the colour scheme! I've always admired the purple-gold combination, and it definitely didn't disappoint me :)  I still suck at placement though, and the ring finger is a clear testament to that! I was aiming for that trippy pattern for all the nails, but sigh. Life's so unfair :( I should probably make decals for these placement sensitive manis!

Valentine's Day Nails with Stay Quirky Nail Polish

Back after so long! One of my new year's resolution was to blog regularly, but like all new years' resolution do, this one too went straight outta window :D Moving past the very, very unoriginal whining, here are my Valentine's Day nails! Ooh yeah, so much PINK. I was initially going to do a holo heart as my accent, but some unmentionable-y horrendous incidents with DIY scotch tape stencils have made sure that your eyes are safe from that disaster. So we have a plain holo accent instead! I've heard a great many things about nail vinyls, but I don't think I'll be able to pull one sticky thing off another wet thing. Guess I'll just have to stick to free handing shapes for now! Holographic pearls needed 3 coats to be this opaque, but dayum that BLING!! The white to pink gradient looked to pretty on it's own, I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures before stamping over it. I think I need to do more pastel gradients! ➺Pink - Pink U...

Bundle Monster Shangri-La stamping plate mani!

Image
Am I in the cool club yet?! I finally found an authentic Indian seller for Bundle Monster plates on ebay! I've always adored the Shangri La set, and boy, I wasn't disappointed :) They stamp wonderfully, and the images are crisp and well etched. I don't own any special stamping polish, but my cheap drugstore polish worked flawlessly on these. Yay for saving my money BM! I tried out two polishes, a metallic gold from Maybelline India, and a black creme from a local brand called Juice. Playing it safe with black and gold, I know, I know. Imma definitely try decals with this plate.  Look at that crisp stamping! I like my pointer finger the most, my topcoat smudged the rest of three :( Probably time to bid Revlon's matte top coat adieu.
