Glam watermarble nails for Watermarblepracticewed!

Image
Ain't no damn cold's gonna stop me from my weekly finger painting ritual! This week's theme was Glam/New Years and I went for a subdued glam look. After a month full of Red-Green-Golden-Glitter manis, I was feeling sort of overwhelmed with anything and everything glittery. And lets be honest, removing that glitter is a right pain in the ass. Polishes used are 'Bold Gold' by Maybelline, and the gorgeous rose gold and black are from a local brand - Juice; all topped up with Revlon's Matte Top Coat. I did these while watching criminal minds reruns and can we talk about Shemar Moore? I thought I was totally over my silly little Derek Morgan crush but nOPE. NEGATORY SIIIR. I wish they'd do a spin off with him :)

Winter Snowflake nails!

Claire's challenges are one of my absolute favourites on IG. I was racking my brains for her next prompt, Winder Wonderland; when I remembered Nailstorming's elegant black and white snow nails . She's my go-to nail artist when I'm low on nailspiration. I decided to pair it with some Christmas trees over a black background. Painting over darker colour sucks! My trees were lot slimmer in their white base version lol. What I love about this mani is Gianna's base. I would have never thought of black and white on my own, but its so elegant. The idea of tiny snowflakes drifting around in the dark... ah. I wished it snowed here.

Neon and Black Watermarble

As December continues to be a major nail fail month, I whipped out my trusty watermarble to cheer me up. And to reassure my fragile self esteem. (But we don't talk about it.) I usually rely on IG prompts for nail inspo, but this month's challenges are getting bit to Christmass-y for me. So, consciously avoiding those festive colours, I channeled my inner Claire and turned to some bright neons! I wish I had taken a pic of my wm cup, the pattern was so trippy and dizzyingly bright. For my desi sisters, Juice is one of the cheapest local brand that works well in water. They are very thin and runny, and they spread really well in the water. Plus, they cost only 50 Rupees for a 15ml bottle, so its a win-win! Even managed a macro!

Review of Maybelline India's Bold Gold as Stamping Polish and a Christmas Mani

Image
Stamping seemed like such a harmless little fluffball when I first saw a stamped mani. Then I saw another, and another, and yet another, and then I was sufficiently hooked it. I get hooked on everything that involves least efforts, and the notion of stamping pretty things on my nails was admittedly alluring. The first stamping plate was duly booked and received, which was followed by several spectacularly failed stamping attempts. After much google-ing, I was introduced to seemingly alien terms like priming, stamping polish, and an otherworldly invention called 'Clear Jelly Stamper' (one day, you'll be mine CJS). Who knew, huh? Equipped with this new found wisdom, began my never-ending hunt for affordable and easily available stamping polishes. (looking right at ya, international shipping.) TheNailz4fun95  who has ever so helpfully done a video about Indian stamping polishes, suggested Maybelline India's Bold Gold, which was probably one of the best advice given in
